The Rolling Town Hall attracted members and supporters from across the city. We were joined by more than 30 candidates and 150 ABC members, and the event was covered by FOX 5 Atlanta and CBS 46 News.
It's not every day that you get to roll with candidates running for office, so we want to acknowledge all of the candidates who attended this event!
We were as thrilled to hear from Judy Roman, a grandmother in her "sensational sixties" who is learning how to ride a bike through our True Beginners class.
I may not have mastered riding a bike yet –I am still a true beginner. But, I know how to vote and I will use my vote for the candidate who will make it safe for me, my grandchildren, my friends and all of the residents of Atlanta to ride safely around the city. - Judy Roman
I may not fit the image of a typical biker. But that is the irony – I don't think there is one. Actually, I think the typical biker does look like me. They look like my friends, like the many women I know -- mothers, sisters and grandmothers who are saying, I really need to get outdoors, to step out of this car, to walk, to bike, to breathe and to get healthy. - Judy Roman

Many of our members wished they had more time to chat with candidates and friends alike, which is why I want you to mark your calendars for the next Candidate Row at the Westside Atlanta Streets Alive on June 11th, from 4 - 8 pm. This brand new route spans 4-miles on Marietta St. and Howell Mill Rd.
