Mission: Provide lights (free of cost) to any Atlantan who needs them!
Lights are expensive, and not everyone can afford them. Project Glow is an initiative aimed at ensuring that everyone who rides a bike at night has front and rear lights to keep them safe. And this year, we are making extra sure that people who bike & vote can get to and from the ballot box safely.
When: Tuesday, November 7th
Where: Meet at Tom, Dick, & Hank (191 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW, Atlanta, GA 30312) at 5:30pm. From there, you will ride with a small group of people led by an NPU-V Bike Champion. You will distribute lights (we'll provide) people you encounter while riding who do not have lights and for light-less bikes you see parked at businesses, at polling places in NPU-V, and at MARTA stations.
Your route will end back at Tom, Dick, & Hank where the fun will continue for those who want to stick around and grab some grub and drinks and catch the early election returns.
Who: This event is open to Atlanta Bicycle Coalition members only. Please be sure to join/renew ahead of time! Riders should be able to comfortably ride 3-5 miles.
Why: Because finances should never prevent someone from arriving safely.
