For this segment, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition supports the Road Diet from Yorkshire Road to 10th Street (Public Display 2). Even though there is not enough room for bike lanes, the road diet can reduce crashes by 29% and radically increase the safety of people who bike and walk in this area. We also support all of the intersection treatments that enhance bicycle safety.
We also support a dedicated protected intersection separating bicycles and pedestrians at 10th and Monroe (Public Display 3).
The links below are Renew Atlanta's concept designs for the public meeting in February 2017:
- Public Display 1: Monroe (Piedmont Circle to Piedmont Ave)
- Public Display 2: Monroe (Piedmont Ave to 10th Street)
- Public Display 3: Monroe (10th St)
- Public Display 4: Monroe (10th Street to Ponce de Leon Ave)
Please RSVP for this meeting if you're interested in the Complete Street project from Piedmont Circle to Ponce de Leon Avenue.
