We have big news about Atlanta Streets Alive!

We have some big news about Atlanta Streets Alive that we'd like to share with you!

We're so pleased to announce that the City of Atlanta is supporting Atlanta Streets Alive with $150,000 from the city's fiscal year 2016 budget. A big thank you to Mayor Kasim Reed and the Atlanta City Council for approving this important source of support for open streets in our city. Now, we couldn't be more excited for Atlanta Streets Alive Highland+!

Did you join us last year? If so, then you know this is our biggest open streets of the year! More than 100,000 people joined us in walking and rolling the streets of Highland, North Highland, Boulevard, and North Avenue last year. And we're expecting for a wonderful turnout again this year. Join us on Sunday, September 27th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., as a 4.5-mile loop is opened to people on foot, bike, and other human-powered activities and closed to motorized traffic.

We have some exciting things in store, including:

  • The Bicycle Parade. The start location will be at  N. Highland Ave & Virgina Ave. with line-up starting at 1:30pm.
  • A range of activities hosted by a variety of organizations and businesses
  • An interactive map that can be downloaded on your phone, thanks to our friends at Walkabout. Stay tuned for download details soon!

I own a business! How can I get involved?
Businesses along the route have many options to get involved and are encouraged to become a business partner to take advantage of marketing opportunities. This includes restaurants, retailers, bars and service providers.
