Are you rethinking your commute? We hear you. People on bikes tend to be happy; people in cars - not so much. More and more Atlanta residents are discovering the benefits of biking to work, to school, to do errands, or to get to MARTA. You get awesome exercise, you see cool things, you meet great people, you do good for Mother Earth. Basically, supplanting a few car trips with people-powered bicycle trips is just good news all around. Let us help you hack your way of getting around.
A life hack is a tool or technique that makes some aspect of your life easier or more efficient. Your ride leader, Stephen Spring, has been car-free, taking on the streets of DC, SF, Austin, and Atlanta by bicycle for three decades. If you don't have a bike, no problem, the city's got $10/month bike shares and our class will start and end at one of them.
It's the third Tuesday of the month.
We will meet up, unpack your commute, then hit the city streets on a 45-minute ride in and around Atlanta's urban landscape. We'll share tips on commuting and check out how fluid it is for two-wheel commuters to negotiate MARTA. And there's an option to wind down at Two-Wheel Tuesdays, where Bike Commuters in Atlanta come together to build community and talk about - what else? - commuting on two wheels.
Please arrive on time. We strongly recommend you bring a helmet, water, sunscreen, and a friend or three.
