SET SAFE SPEED LIMITS IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD TO KEEP KIDS SAFE
The Community Advocates Network (CAN) is a network of neighborhood leaders, community members, and business owners from across the city working to achieve Vision Zero. We support CAN by facilitating member interaction, streamlining information sharing, and presenting resources pertinent to your safe streets advocacy.
Join us on Thursday, January 21st at 6:00 PM for our first call of the year! We will discuss safe and active transportation around school zones, as well as receive your feedback on our 2021 policy platform. Let us know which transportation policies are most important to you!
Until then, here is a video of our October call -- https://www.atlantabike.org/can-call-october2020. We received an update regarding Vision Zero from Betty Smoot-Madison, Mobility Director at the Atlanta Department of Transportation. We also heard from two of our members -- Karlyn Beer and Clark Dumas -- about some initiatives their neighborhoods are taking to address transportation and mobility concerns in their communities.
