#BikeThere Day on Friday, May 15

The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is here to encourage you and to celebrate you to get around our city by bicycle.

Whether you're running errands for the first time or a veteran bike commuter, you'll get extra high-fives for riding on Friday, May 15! This day is celebrated around he world as Bike to Work Day, but we want you to join us in making sure anyone who chooses a bicycle for transportation -- even for one day -- feels encouraged, comfortable and confident about moving around Atlanta by bike.

May 15th, in the ATL, is BikeThere Day!

Here are a few easy ways you and your workplace or organization can participate in #BikeThere Day 2020:

  1. Host a BikeThere station at your business, workplace, church, school or other location on the morning or afternoon of Friday, May 15.  Fill out this questionnaire to get your station details on our map (this is our 2019 version - 2020 coming by April 1) and also to let you know where and when you can pick up a supply of Clif bars.
  2. Share the #BikeThere cheer on social media. Use the hashtag to tell us how you're getting around by bike, to encourage others to try it and support those who have decided to take a spin on two wheels.
  3. Schedule a free City Cycling class or a free Hack Your Commute Lunch-n-Learn in April or May (workplace, church, school, community organization, etc.) to help you and your crew prepare for BikeThere Day with tips and skills for cycling in Atlanta.
