Ponce de Leon getting its stripes

image from saltcycle.orgPonce De Leon Avenue, once the most dangerous corridor for bikes in the state of Georgia, is set to finally get its stripes this year - bike lane stripes, that is.

A buffered bike lane (that means a bike lane with added breathing room between bicyclists and motor vehicles like this one from nacto.org) will complement safety enhancements for pedestrians, transit riders, and drivers.

Other improvements  include resurfacing, lane reconfigurations, ADA accessibility improvements, and improved access to public transportation as well as the Atlanta BeltLine.
