ABC seeks neighborhood bicycle liaisons
Calling all ABC members! Are you involved in your neighborhood association or neighborhood planning unit? If not, here's your chance to get plugged in. We are seeking bicyclists who can adopt their neighborhoods in order to keep ABC abreast of issues that affect conditions for cycling. We want people who can be positive, enthusiastic, and patient representatives for cycling interests to attend meetings, provide input when needed to the associations, and share information with ABC when projects or policies are considered that will affect cycling.
We ask neighborhood bicycle liaisons to attend meetings on a regular basis (we realize you won't be able to make every single one, but striving to attend most), share updates and project information with ABC as relevant issues arise, and attending an annual gathering of bike liaisons to share experiences and ideas.
Some areas have already been adopted, although we need more voices in every area, so don't hesitate to sign up even if you see your neighborhood listed: Candler Park, Old Fourth Ward, Lake Claire and NPU B, W, N, and O. As you can see, we could definitely benefit from greater representation in the SW and NW quadrants of the city.
Please enter your contact information and neighborhood association or NPU if you would like to sign up or learn more.
