It's Bike Week in Atlanta!

Bike Month is kicking into high gear with a week packed full with great bike events. We just wanted to drop you a note so you don't miss out. Let's celebrate the change we're seeing in our city (hello bike lanes on Peachtree Street), and have fun while pushing for more! 

    

Eat for Change at Chipotle on Thursday, May 14

11 a.m.-10 p.m.

Help us raise $10,000, just by eating out! Eat at any Atlanta area Chipotle Mexican Grillon May 14th and Chipotle will donate a portion of its sales to the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, up to $10,000! All you gotta do is pedal to your nearest Chipotle in the Atlanta metro and enjoy some tasty lunch or dinner

We're excited for this partnership because we admire Chipotle's efforts to be environmentally-friendly and support small and local farmers. Plus, their new tofu option is delicious!

We'll be at the Chipotle on Ponce De Leon Ave right off the Eastside BeltLine Trail between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Come eat lunch with us! 




Ride with the Falcons: Friday, May 15

7:30-9 a.m.

On National Bike to Work Day, hop on a bike commuter train with Falcons General Manager Thomas DimitroffThe ride will start at 7:30 a.m. at Falcons Landing between the Georgia Dome and Phillips Arena on Andrew Young International Boulevard. Dimitroff will lead the route along with members of the Falcons front office and the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition. The route will feature several iconic Atlanta landmarks, including the historic West End neighborhood, Westside BeltLine Trail, Turner Field, Grant Park, and the Eastside BeltLine Trail. The ride is open to the public and riders are encouraged to join along on their commutes to work.

The route can be viewed here. It will be at a casual, social pace (10‐15 mph) and end with music and snacks at the Dome.

Downtown and Midtown Bicycle Energizer Stations, hosted by Central Atlanta Progress and Midtown Alliance: Friday, May 15

7-9 a.m.

Grab high-fives and some grub on the way into the office Friday morning as a reward for cycling to work on Bike to Work Day! 

Midtown Alliance will be in front of Colony Square at 14th and Peachtree Streets serving up coffee and bagels. 
Central Atlanta Progress will be stationed at the Woodruff Park Reading Room on Auburn between Peachtree Street and Park Place.


Tour de BeltLine early-bird registration ends Sunday, May 17

You don't want to miss the biggest, best ride of the summer. The Tour de BeltLine, on June 13, includes three routes, so there's something for everyone! Those who like to log bigger miles can join the 40 mile police-escorted "Gran Tour" Ride, social riders can enjoy 15 miles on the "Guided Tour," and families of all ages and sizes will love the casual 6 mile ride together. The lowest rates end on May 17th! Learn more and register.
