Henry Slack

Henry Slack has been an avid commuting cyclist and ABC supporter for many years. As a member of the first ABC Board, he helped with early issues that faced ABC. He also served as the Southern Bicycle League’s Director of Advocacy through much of the 1990s. Before ABC started, he taught Effective Cycling, an early version of Confident City Cycling classes.

He’s also enjoyed other bicycle rides: challenging rides but also occasional tours and BRAG. He's created two local rides (Civil Rights Tour, Green Building Tour) for SBL. By far his favorite regular cycling activity is the Commuter Breakfast.

Henry works for U.S. EPA regional office here in Atlanta, serving as the technical expert for indoor air and green building issues. He makes his home in Decatur, and helps lead the Bike Decatur group. He is also active in green building organizations.
