Mike Laurie

Mike joined the board as Treasurer in August 2008. He is a Director at the accounting firm KPMG and has a CPA license in Georgia and is a CFA charterholder. His previous not-for-profit work includes assisting the United Way with their financial review of recipient agencies as well as the financial statement audits of the American Cancer Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a regular bicycle commuter from his house in Grant Park to his office downtown. He helps teach ABC's Confident City Cycling classes and is a League Cycling Instructor for the League of American Bicyclists.

In addition to biking Mike enjoys other endurance activities and has run many marathons around the country including the Pikes Peak Marathon and the 50 mile Pine Mountain Trail Run. He also enjoys hiking with his wife and Weimaraner in the North Georgia mountains.
