Hello ATL !
Just signed up as members of ABC. My wife Pam and I (Mike) are moving into Decatur hopefully Feb 1, for sure by March. We are full time cyclists. We both are LCI's with the LAB. We are moving from the #2 state in the nation for bicycling, (Wisconsin) to #48 (Georgia). I rode this morning in -4 degrees weather, windchill -20's, and 6 inches of fresh snow. NO WAY is that better than any ride in Atlanta, any time! We love riding in Atlanta, and know that there are many challenges ahead. We are eager to help out the ABC and the residents of Atlanta

moving in Feb 18
Our moving trailer arrives in Decatur on Feb 18th. We are bring about 15 "vehicles", including two pedicabs. Today I rode for 40 minutes. It was -5 degrees, windchill about 45 below!! It was brutal, and not very satisfying. We are going car free after we settle in.....It has not gotten above freezing (32) for over 5 weeks.....both of our winter bikes have studded tires on, and have been a life saver this winter. Will I need studded tires in ATL?
welcome!
Give us a call when you get settled in - we're really looking forward to meeting you both!
Good to have you here!
It sounds like the two of you should pull us up a few notches in the rankings just by moving here ;-). You've picked one of the best areas in Georgia for cycling.
Do you have a pedicab? Are you bringing it to Atlanta? I had so much fun on one in Boston and I'd love to see one here.

Howdy back
Welcome to Hotlanta (and Decatur)! I rode Saturday in the mid-60s, and upper teens this morning. It is not boring ride here.
