As a California native, I grew up with large, wide bike lanes on most major streets- and for those streets with no bike lanes, they were usually plenty wide enough to share with other motor vehicles. So when I came here to ATL, I hated the fact that it is so dangerous to ride on streets especially on the way to Emory (I've had some classmates get hit by cars and have to go to the hospital).

Woodstock Police Department kicks off a Share the Road education program with ABC

On August 26th, the City of Woodstock Police Department (WPD) and the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign launched a Share the Road Education Program in order to educate motorists and cyclists on how to legally and safely share the road.
The program was headed by the Bicycle Unit of the WPD who provided plain-clothes bike officers to ride on the street and give out warnings and information on how to share the road.

Confident City Cycling classes get new logo

Thanks to volunteer graphics design artist, Don Grant of Craft LLC, the newly christened ABC Confident City Cycling classes - a name we have borrowed from our good friends at the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) - now have their very own logo. Stay tuned for a class schedule to appear later this week.
