The roads in metro Atlanta are often narrow and loaded with motorized traffic. Many bicyclists use these roads for exercise and transportation to work, school, shopping, and other places. With the limited space, and potential hazards, we ask motorists and bicyclists alike to practice SAFE driving, be informed and SMART about the rules of the road and how best to interact, and above all, SHARE the roadway so you both have a good drive!
[NEWS] ABC is happy to announce it is the recipient of a 2008 Share the Road Awareness Campaign grant from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. This grant will help us continue to spread the word about safe ways cars and bicycles can operate on shared public roadways.

Share the Road brochures, handy pocket cards, and bumper stickers are now available at most locations of the Georgia Department of Driver Services (driver license offices) and most offices of the Georgia Division of Motor Vehicles (tag & title offices) in Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, and Gwinnett counties. We appreciate the support of these offices in helping to spread the Share the Road message to motorists as well as cyclists.

brochure that explains how
motorists and bicyclists can safely share the road.

We have a great 3 ¼" x 4 ¼" pocket card (that fits nicely into your jersey pocket) to share with motorists and cyclists.
One side of the card quotes the Georgia Transportation Code regarding a bicyclist's right to ride on the road. It also quotes the statement in the Georgia Driver's License manual that says bicycles are vehicles.
The other side of the card lists four ways for motorists and cyclists to safely share the road.
