Heels on Wheels

1st Saturday of the month!

(This ride is always super fun no matter how much it rains, or snows, or sleets, but I've decided to set a permanent rain date for the following Saturday.)

We'll glide down Atlanta's signature street, Peachtree, for a night on the town without the hassle of figuring out who will drive and where to park. Instead of trying to avoid Saturday night traffic, we'll BE traffic!

Our goal is to turn a few heads and shift people's thinking about WHO rides bikes (we women-folk ride too) and WHERE people can ride bikes safely (biking on city streets can be both fun and safe if you ride with confidence, are visible, and ride predictably by following all traffic laws and staking your claim to the lane when it's too narrow to share.

Details

Start Time: Gather at the Reading Room in Woodruff Park at 6 pm; leave park at 6:30 pm

Start Location: Woodruff Park at the Reading Room (northern corner of park - it's small so we're easy to find) in downtown Atlanta at 51 Peachtree Street
Route: We mainly bike along Peachtree Street for maximum people-watching and Saturday night fun. Afterwards, we'll head to a local spot to eat, drink and be merry. At the end of the night you have the option of MARTA-ing on home (there's always a group heading to MARTA after).

This will be a slow paced, very friendly ride, with no one left behind, so invite your friends!
