Learn to Ride at Any Age: Sat June 12

If you are an adult who never learned to ride a bike as a kid, this class is for you! After this class you'll be able to enjoy the pleasure of riding with friends and family, the satisfaction and self-reliance of being self-propelled, and the sense of health and well-being that comes with keeping your body and mind active and engaged.

This is your chance to learn how to ride a bike with the support and encouragement of others who share your willingness to try something new and challenging. This course is designed and taught by a trained Licensed Cycling Instructor and Atlanta Bicycle Coalition educator especially for adult first-time learners.

* Safe Riding Practices (what you should always have with you when riding)
* Tips for Cycling in Atlanta

The take-home is the wonderful feeling you'll get when your feet leave the ground and you coast down the street on your bicycle!

Helmet and bicycle required .
If you do not own a bicycle you can rent one at Skate Escape near Piedmont Park or through the ABC Starter Bikes project. If you have an old bike in need of repairs, just drop in to one of Atlanta's many wonderful local bike shops, or visit for help and parts to fix up your dusty and rusty old bike.

The building will be locked, but the visitor parking deck will be open and those who drive should park on Level “C.” The instructor will be waiting at the glass doors to take students into the 1st floor meeting space.
